SAFC V2, anyone install one yet?
I just purchased one, my instructions are in complete japanese...so, I downloaded the instructions for the SAFC V1...my question is has anyone installed the V2 yet? is the wiring the exact same, or are there any new things I should be aware of? I've tried searching all the apexi sites, but all I get is the normal safc stuff...
TIA

Re: SAFC V2, anyone install one yet? (SpoolinLS)
I have 11 wires here on the V2, there are 8 in the diagram, assuming 1 is a knock feature which is new...
here are the ones i can account for
-red~power
-green~rpm signal
-gray~throttle
-brown~ground 1st
-black~ground 2nd
-yellow~splitter air flow outputs
-blue~air flow #2 input
-white~air flow #1 input
ones i can account for:
-purple
-orange
-pinkish

maybe those are for datalogging?...and also aren't the new apexi electronics supposed to be able to interact with a central unit that they're developing?

can anyone translate the ecu wiring diagram up there for me...I know most of them, but it differs slightly from the V1 diagram

Re: SAFC V2, anyone install one yet? (SpoolinLS)
here is what I tentatively got, after about 30 minutes of research ...starting just under the ecu bubble:
red wire (power)
green wire (rpm)
purple wire (knock noise)
gray wire (throttle signal)
brown (ground)
black (ground)
yellow (a/f pressure output)
white (a/f pressure input)
are these correct?

Wiring should be the same for the SAFC which is:
red wire (power)
green wire (rpm)
brown (ground)
black (ground)
yellow (a/f pressure output)
white (a/f pressure input)
I am not sure what the purple or gray wire is for. But on the AVC-R the Gray is (Throttle Signal)

Re: SAFC V2, anyone install one yet? (DRAGLS)
its got a couple new features, like knock sensor and what not...and you can change the settings in 200 rpm increments as apposed to 500 and you get 12 now instead of 8 i think it was...

how do you wire the input and output for the airflow pressure signal?
ECU -------------------------------airflow
/ \
afc input? afc output?
Sorry for my poor excuse of a diagram...but i learn better from pictures...is that right or is it mixed around? TIA

using this diagram...i think the pressure sensor is 3 pins away from the throttle signal...now my question is, on the p28, where the RPM signal goes, there isnt a wire in there for me? anyone wanna show/help me how to wire this up? TIA!

Re: SAFC V2, anyone install one yet? (Rayman)
new features also include letting you store two different settings so you can tune one of pump and one for race and not have to go in and make changes everytime you switch, just go to the other setting...
ive got english instructions at home, ill be there in about an hour or so and ill post up the wiring colors for sure
