Im looking to put togeather an inexpensive turbo set up, giving my ej8 a little kick. I was wondering if anyone has used a secondhand or used Saab turbo in their set up?

This is one I found on ebay. Its hella cheap. Im not looking to push TONS OF BOOST, just around 7psi tops for now, on a stock d16.

Yeah, the T3 .48/.42 is a good turbo for d-series engines. Lot's of people use them on d-series engines.

Should reach boost a little after 3000 and hold boost steady to redline without dropping torque. Good little cheap turbo

 

that turbo on my LS had full 10lbs of boost at a little after 3000rpm, I could break loose at 60mph from a hard roll and ran 13.4 @ 108 in a heavy coupe using a missing link and FMU

It was a awsome turbo

 

i had that turbo. nice for d-series. im upgrading but i would suggest a rebuild on my turbo even though it spooled fine. i would sell it for 45 shipped
