this is NOT APC like "altezzas and fake CF". APC on a saab is "automatic performance control." it was their boost management system. I've heard you can use the Saab turbo control unit as turbo management on just about any car. I guess for the earlier (pre-94) saabs, the turbo control was external from the ECU so it's not that hard to adapt. has anyone else heard this or know of a place I can read up on it?

 

ive seen it before, its basically an electronic boost controller thats a vaccum switch. I thought abotu grabbing it, but said **** it.

 

sweet. at least I'm not the only one that's heard about it :D . the price is right at least. I got one for like 5 bucks and there are tons more where it came from if it blows .

just gotta find a place that explains it now.

 

just study it. I think its just a switch thats actually mounted in the dash(sport mode, econo mode). IM pretty sure, thats just an electronic boost controller basically pinches off vaccum, so that the WG doesnt open as much

 

yeah, I saw the line going into the firewall. the only piece I have right now is the actual ECU-type box that sits in the fender well. I suppose I should look around and find out what other parts I need.

 

sounds kinda like the ford boost controller hooked to the a/c siwtch
