S300 Question
My S300 came in today, and I want to hook it up and try to get familiar with S Manager, but I had a few questions that hopefully you guys can answer.
1. Will the ECU function normally with the S300 installed if I do not make any adjustments with S-manager? or is the ecu completely reliant on the hondata chip?
1.5. Provided that the ecu will function normally without making any adjustments, can I use it without the turbo installed? ( my unit has boost control installed )
2. Does the ECU need to be in the car to make adjustments? or can I do so without having it hooked up to the car.
3. In the "instructions" that came with the unit, it says something about uploading a base calibration into the ecu, I'm assuming that they are talking about stuff found here. http://www.hondata.net/forum/v...5eefe
I know the answers to these may be pretty obvious, but I appreciate the help.
Thanks in advance

Re: S300 Question (HybridEL)
you will have to upload a program to the s300 for it to make the car run. you can make changes in smanager with out it connected to the ecu, but in order to upload the tune to the ecu, the ecu will need to be in the car with the ignition turned on.
if you use the right calibration you can drive the car with out the turbo on it.

Re: S300 Question (Turbo-charged)
ahh ok, so I'll need to find a basemap for my motor, which is a built LS/Vtec with I/H/E.
And then upload that to the ecu in the car with ignition on, and it should run?
thanks buddy
