?s on boosting a d16y7
i did a search and i just wanted a little more info. im in the proccess of boosting my dx. i am doing a custom turbo system and i was wondering if its ok to use stock injectors with a inline fuel pump and 12:1 fmu on 5-6psi? and how can i put the boost at 5-6 psi on a t25 without a boost controler? and is it safe to boost with just a fmu or do i need anything else. im on a budget so thats all i can afford.
any help will be greatly apperciated
thanks

OK cheapskate, here you go:
Stock injectors and 12:1 with inline pump may be too rich. Try a 10:1 and a btm instead. Either way you can get it to work.
You should really have a btm of some kind for safety.
To reduce the boost on a stock t25 wastegate actuator you should make the rod length adjustable by cutting the rod and threading it. Then use a threaded cylinder to adjust the length. make it longer and the boost goes down. make it shorter and the boost goes up. There is a limit though, so small changes only.

fyi, it wont be too rich. i ran 12:1 w/ an inline. it was average 12.5:1 a/f, sometimes dipping into the 11s, and once ever it hit 10, but then again the o2 sensor doesnt give too accurate of an a/f reading.
