Default S-AFC hack, again....

I have a question about the s-afc hack.
I will have 450cc injectors, do I need to get a FMU, or will the afc be able to
handle everything. The way I understand it is that with the afc, you can tune up
to about 10 PSI without the aid of an FMU with 450cc injectors.

Like I have said before your playing with fire. The S-AFC was never created to do what your doing. I dont think you need the fmu or inline pump just the injectors and the S-AFC. Your car is gonna iddle very shity. Honestly why not sell the AFC for around $300 then invest that into a hondata and know you have that piece of mind and your doing it the right way. Good luck man check out stage2B at http://www.hondata.com

You don't need an FMU. The 450's and AFC will be able to handle it.

My car idles like stock with 450's and VAFC. Even with my FP @44psi (no vac). I really need to swap out my stock DX pump. It just can't handle my fuel needs

Could you explain why exactly I am playing with fire? I realize that it was not created to do what people are doing with it, but many people have done it and gotten a good idle. I would say that it is better than relying on an FMU and high fuel pressures......I know hondata is much better, but I am in college and dont have the money to spend on a system like that, especially since I am only going to be running about 6 PSI....If there is a reason that the AFC hack is a bad idea, then please post it because I would like to know.

I also have the S-AFC ... but i run 550cc injectors... (Pintle style) and it idles fine... However the warmup (about 1 minute) at startup idles fine... but if I hit the gas you can tell there is a misfire... but after that 1 minute.. this are fine.

With that said... this is still a hack... and I wouldnt do it again. I'd look to another electronic solution.. because personally i dont like the FP solutions either.

Would u mind sharing some of the settings u are using for the 550 injectors . I was under the impression that the AFC wouldnt back off enough to run with 550. If that is the case is it safe to say that u can exceed the 10psi with 550's without throwing a CEL.

Considering I could get the 450s to start and idle anywhere between -25% and -50%, I think 550s are easily within the adjustment range. If you have trouble, drop your idle FP a little.
