?'S ABOUT LEAVING WIDEBAND O2 IN ALL THE TIME?????
I'm getting a Zeitronix zt-2 wideband and wanted to know if it's OK to leave the Bosch sensor in at all times or not? I searched and just got were to mount it and how to tune it etc. I don't want to take it in/out when I need to tune plus if I keep it in then I can monitor it at all times. Plus if it does burn out then it's only $60 for a new one being Bosch. And would I need hte factory sensor when using wideband? I know a dumb ? but have to ask.

Assuming you dont foul it out or something it should last about as long as a regular O2 sensor.

I was thinking that it might not actually last as long as a regular O2 sensor. It sits a little closer to the turbine then the stock O2 sensor at your cat. And maybe the high heat from a turbo setup would cause it to need replacing sooner. But I still think that it should last as long as a stock O2 sensor, or close to it. One good thing about the ZT2 is that replacement sensors are only $65.

It shouldnt be that close to your turbo. Optimal length is about 18+ inches.
But yeah, they are cheap enough..

The L1M1 sensor is OEM in several Honda cars. LMU2 is OEM in even more cars. Obviously they can't wear out any faster than the narrowband ones.
