my friend got his block sleeved by aebs, but when he got it, it sat in the box for about 2 months. when we were taking a look at it to put it together, we saw it had some very very light rust on the cylinder walls, what can be done to remove this?

 

Just assemble the engine. The rings will naturally seat, and scrape away light surface rust, no problems.

 

You could use some WD-40 and a rag to get most of it off before you assemble it.
