Default running rich-need help

i have a 93 civic w/ the D16Z6 motor and the greddy kit. I'm running 8 psi of boost and under boost i tend to run rich. My fuel system is only the greddy blue box and a walbro 255lph intank fuel pump.

Can I buy an adjustable fuel pressure regualtor and lower the fuel pressure when i run at the tracks to lean out the fuel alittle? Or is it the injectors that needs controlling w/ something like an AFC? Thanks for your help.

Use can turn down the pressure a bit with am adjustable regulator the likes of AEM, but this is if your pressure is already too high. Get yourself a pressure gauge and ensure the pressure is at stock, the Walbro may have bumped it sligthly.

Yeah definitely get a gauge, the addition of the walbro on my car increased pressure about almost 8 psi at idle.

so basically get a guage and if it's too high get a adjustable FPR and turn down the pressure back down to stock?
Thanks

how do you know you are running rich? carbon build up or an A/F ratio gauge? also did you remove you cat. if you did that is one reason why!!

i have an A/F guage. My stock cat is still in place. I checked the pressure w/ a b&m guage and it read 48psi. It's supposed to be between 31-36 stock.

I am running the same setup as you but I have a straight pipe (no cat).

When I installed the 255lph pump my fuel pressure went from 42psi to 50psi at idle. I use a b&m commandflo, but I couldn't turn the pressure down with the new pump, so I drilled a relief hole in the FPR, and now I can turn it down to like 30psi if I want to.

On the dyno at 5.5 psi and 42 psi fuel pressure at idle, my a/f ratio was 12.5:1 across the board. I would run a little richer to be safe if I were you.

Since you still use the stock cat, I think that 38-40 psi should give you a nice safe a/f ratio.

ok i adjusted the Fuel pressure w/ a AEM FPR to 32psi and it's still running rich under boost. On the autometer a/f guage it's all the way to the last bar in rich under boost. Should i lower the fuel pressure alittle more? I figure it's really low already. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for the replys so far.
