Default running rich at idle

does the vortech fmu boost fuel pressure all the time? or only under boost. after instaled my turbo with the fmu, my car's exhaust fumes smell like the hot rods at the drag strip. It smelss really rich and my a/f gauge always stays at rich, even at idle, until i hit freeeway speeds. My base pressure is the same @ 35 psi. I have msd btm, so it cant be the retard. the 12:1 fmu is my only management for now. I have a msd inline but i was going to put it on later.

it only puts more fuel in when under boost! Like a 12:1 fmu would raise the fuel pressure 12 for every one pound of boost.

yeah i know that it is supposed to do it under boost but why does my car suddenly smell like it is rich on idle once I put the fmu on? It never ever smelled like that n/a. I bought the fmu used also, so I am questioning it's condition.

Are you also running an inline high pressure fuel pump?
