Default Running Over Rich!

hey all.

3 weeks ago was daily using my car, went on avacation and came back car Idle's, cruise, WOT all 10 AFR.

now i havent touched the car since the last time i used it, things i checked:

-Piping for boost leak
-all sensors connected and hondata readings are fine.
-wastegate is not leaking.
-map sensor works
-swapped from oemn ngk to ngk 7.
-tried lowering the fuel on hondata but Nothing changes

i pull out the plugs and their exteremely black.

now im out of troubleshooting and i dont know wat else to check.

please leave your feedback before closing my thread.

When did you have the car tuned? Does it do that at that at normal running temperature? 170-190 degrees?
Check your IAT/ECT corrections.

Xohcef..yes weather is all nice and windy now.

Yes at those temp wide band is just 10 and lots of black smoke at idle.

Come to think of it. I did have heating problems a month ago my thermostate was changed but did not drive the car untill now. Just came to mind.!!

Old thermo was stuck and it was tuned on that thermo aprox 2 months ago.

Is the O2 sensor that is being used to determine fuel maps wideband or narrow? Not the one that you are using for a gauge (unless they are the same sensor).

I'm using a AEM wide band. I guess I only have 1 sensor that's in the exhaust.

Let's say its bad. It could be the reason why my car is so rich?

Isn't it just a gauge to tell you your afr only?

ive had this happen to me twice in the past 4 or 5 years. it would also occasionally die out at idle. turned out to be my gm 3 bar map sensor went bad.

if the plugs are black, then the wideband is working fine when it reads 10.0 and the problem lies elsewhere besides your sensor.

also might be a resistor box issue if you are using one. you can try to use hondata to upload a new basemap just in case something happened with your specific .skl file....

I'm running a 3 bar GM map sensor as well.

Plugs are black and sensor of my aem wideband work fine double checked it.

I am using a resistor box. But I asked around and they said if the box bad u won't be able to run the car. Correct me guys if I'm wrong.

I have a new map sensor laying around ill replace it tomorrow and fingers crossed.

Thanks for the top bro
