why would u put all the money into building a motor and then run a stock pump?
- to answer your question. you'll have to bore & hone. as far as diameter of the cylinder.. people are boosting 84mm (and +) motors.

first off you can bore to 82mm but the stock sleeves are going to be way to weak for boost in my opinion. Btw you cannot bore a stock sleeve motor to 84mm + without aftermarket sleeves. I still cant understand why you would skimp out on a fuel pump for $80 when you got a nice name brand turbo kit...

You can send your injectors to get flow checked, but get a walbro 255 fuel pump.Do you have a wideband how did the afr look under boost. I have learned over the years you cant skip good tuning part on a turbo car. Get a wideband and fuel pump See all those little metal specs that looks like detonation probly where it got lean or bad gas. If your engine is not bored out already you could go over .5mm you need to take it to a machinist let them see if .5mm will clean the bore up. Another thing how long had it been tuned.

dont be like my shop did, and forget to clean the IM out or vaccuum will own you sucking all the particle still left in the IM into the block. It will be a short build if this happens lol.

I have an injector cleaning rig, and anything beyond 310cc will drop below 43psi fuel pressure at 100% duty. In other words, >200hp with the stock fuel pump won't supply any extra fuel. A stock dohc vtec car's fuel pump (genuine Honda) will pump out 300hp before it nears it's limit, less if you run high boost or high base fuel pressure.

that really sucks, alot of money just went down the drain.

since I have gotten a wide band I will never go back to not running one again. its just too much of a risk not knowing what is going on inside your motor.

I with you, I don't think it was a fuel pump issue, if the tuner was worth a damn he should have caught something like that but you honestly never know.

Did you let it redline?

It seems (IMO) the fuel pump for sure, 15 psi its a lot of boost.

550cc is enough for that amount of boost, but just in case I would send them to injector-rehab.com or something similar to get them flow tested. At the beginning before my install I did not want to get them clean as I thought they were good, sent them to IR and one was almost completely closed, two half clogged. Got them back with new injector filters, as good as new.

A wideband is a must, Innovate is what I recommend, the sensor was installed at the 12 O'clock orientation somewhere near the firewall. Grounds are very important, to engine block separately.

NGK7 iridium, 93 octane, stock distributor and ignition coil.

Wow things must have been getting pretty hot to melt that piston.
