Default Running with a disconnected AVC-R.

I have an AVC-R and I disconnected the electronic controller today. So basically I have the solenoid on, with no electronic boost controller. Is that ok? Boost is still being regulated by the wastegate, so I shouldn't have any problems other than not being able to tune it, right?
