running boost on ITR block with GSR head
well the car i currently have i swapped out the 133k gsr bottom end for a 32k ITR block and my gsr head i just used CTR cams with rocket motorsport dual valve springs and titanium retainers with new valve stem seals..
from my searching a ITR block with gsr head should ield some where around 11:1 compression... when i did a compession test the numbers inorder from DIZZY to TIMING BELT side was 260 - 250 - 250 - 250 so the motor sounds healthy and runs fine.. i want to turbo this motor eventually and just turbo this motor now until i build it for boost later... but the higher compression worries me..
would this motor be ok with low boost with good tuning? or is that nto a good idean and just wait till i build the motor with slightly lower compression pistons..?

You might throw in a head gasket for some safety factor.

Re: (RacerXI)
a friend of mine is boosting 8psi on his JDM ITR motor with stock internals/hg. the higher comp ratio just gives the tuner less space to mess up. lower comp you have a larger margin of error. as long as you bring it to a good tuner, you will be fine on low boost.
good luck
