Default RSX Boosting problem. Help????!!!!

Ok to describe the problem:
1. In neutral revs cut off at 5 Grand
2. When driving boost is sluggish (more than normal)
3. Boosts at half throttle, but full throttle bogs down hard.
4. looks like runs really lean, maybe because lots of fuel and no boosting?
5. Boost feels like it starts dieing at 6 grand.
Anyone ever have similar problems.[b]
post up possible fixes.
ps: map sensor isnt hooked up. thats the only problem found so far, could this cause all these symptoms.[b]

errr..... you don't run lean when you have too much fuel. you need that map sensor hooked up.

what are you using for fuel management?

lol this is a funny thread.

MAP = Manifold Absolute Pressure. Its very critical to measure the amount of air coming into the engine to add the proper amount of fuel.

Here's your sign.

you shouldnt be boosting cars if you drive around with the map sensor not hooked up! Im pretty sure it will be blown in a week or so if you let little problems like this screw you up. DId I say a little problem a huge problem dude.

I dont know what he has, Im assuming the injectors that came with the greddy Turbo kit.
And map sensor will be hooked up tomorow.

Ps: again cars not mine lol. Just looked at the car yesterday, we didnt deal with the kit, previous owner did.

Dude, nobody's flaming. And I believe that telling you to hook up the MAP sensor would qualify as useful information Until you do that you're not gonna get any answers as to what else could potentially be a problem.

From the lack of a follow up I take it the MAP sensor solved all your problems?

1. In neutral revs cut off at 5 Grand
The RSX does this no matter if is turbo or not. If the vehicle is not moving it has a rev limit of 5 grand. Don't worry about that.
2. When driving boost is sluggish (more than normal)
Install the map sensor and tune the car.
3. Boosts at half throttle, but full throttle bogs down hard.
Install the map sensor and tune the car.
4. looks like runs really lean, maybe because lots of fuel and no boosting?
Install the map sensor and tune the car.
5. Boost feels like it starts dieing at 6 grand.
Install the map sensor and tune the car.

Get my jist on the answers for your questions you definately need the map sensor to make any car run correctly. Most of you problems are due to the fact you don't have the map sensor installed and have the car properly tuned.
