Default wasting money : \

after my tune on hondata i been getting horrible gas milage (i wasnt driving it hard) i didnt have an o2 sensor at the time so i capped off the o2 bung until i got one the next day. i heard ppl get great gas milage even with 1000's and driving it pretty hard daily. what could be wrong?? i heard if they left it on open or close loop (dunno which one) it would cause the bad gas milage

it depends on the tune if they tuned the part throttle correctly.Alot of people are getting good gas mileage on 1000cc avg about 24-28mpg.

if yougetting worse than that somethign definitely wrong with your part throttle tune. did you only tune for dyno without any load

What's the A/F ratio like on your dyno sheet? (assuming you have one).

450's with CROME. I get about 30mpg w/freeway driving, more city I get around 27 mpg. That's in the winter, my mileage actually goes up a bit in the summer.

Oh, btw, I really recommend running closed loop if you're not tuning currently. Throw in a good o2 or run your narrowband emulation if you're using a wideband. It will keep your mileage better and save your cat if you're running one.

my set up in a nutshell:walbro 255, rc 750'c, hondata tuned (payn), benson 83mm b18c5 block/stock itr head / gsr trans
...on a recent trip = 29-30 mpg avg for 600 miles or so (including a few spirited pulls to keep me entertained)
