rotating turbo outlet
My turbo was rebuilt before I got it, but the compressor is 90 degrees to the manifold flange, so the compressor smacks directly into the engine block. Can this piece be rotated like 30 degrees downwards... Does a professional shop have to do it?

Get a 13mm wrench and loosen the bolts around the housing (notice how I said loosen and not remove). You'll be able to rotate it pretty easily. This goes for both sides of the turbo (and the center section).

As said before just tighten good. There are actually torque specs to them though, Garrett turboes come with a tag on them with warranty info and how to clock the turbo and the torque for the bolts and pre lube of the turbo etc etc. Looks like this, I didn't get mine with my new turbo though

If you get a magnifying glass or somebodies Coke bottle glasses you may be able to read the instructions!
LOL! Either Geoff, Art or the Cheapturbo.com guy can elaborate or help out.
