ross cates custom manifold problems
i just got a couple problems fixed with my manifold the only problem i have left is the header flange is warped a 1/4 of a inch and the flange is .5 thick so if they take off a 1/4 inch that only leaves me witha a 1/4 inch is that going to be allright?Or shoud i cut slots inbetween the runners threw the bolt holes because that is what the machine shop said or what should i do [IMG][/IMG]

I would try to resurface it. It should be fine. Theres a good chance if you cut slots on the flange it will shift.

but if i have a .5 inch flange and i take 1/4 inch off that will only leave me with a 1/4 inch is that going to be enough left because that is less than 3/8

Try bolting it up to the head first without the turbo.... My manifold came that way too, I thought ups dropped it one too many times.... anyways I bolted it up to the head, and it was fine.

wow thats really warped. I would cut the flange between the runners since it is obviously under stress. Then resurface it.
