this is dumb. a NA honda will never see the power an Eagle can handle. so how are they NA rods? they have proven themseleves in HIGH hp turbo apllications. from 450-1000hp. eagle makes one rod for b series motors. the same one installed on Drag cars are installed in my motor, and everyone here who has eage rods. I hope one day honda tech will not have a bandwagon.

haha, yea. hybridvteceg, i think it's time to just start ignoring someone...
Like I said before we have yet to have had them fail BUT the only reason we've run them is because they're cheap. If you got the money why not just go with a more expensive rod?

Jotech drag civic made over 1000hp at the flywheel on eagles. and I am happy u got backed up by the only someone to make 700hp on gas. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=645230&page=3
just how many people called him out on his BS?
anyway thats all I have to say, this doesnt need to get ugly. This guy can either get eagles or not, eitheer way it doesnt affect me

ok ... thats still 1000hp either way. which is much higher than any street honda. and these werent special drag racing custom rods. these were off the shelf rods like we all have. what have YOU done? because I trust Jotechs and many engine builders recommendation over you who no one knows.. actually dont answer that, was a rhetorical question, as I said this doesnt need to turn into a flame war. liek I said. the guys decsision doesnt affect me in anyway.. later
Kenny's motor runs std. Eagle H-beams and bolts? Didn't know that
As for the power that Duc's car made I don't want to get off topic but I could care less if you don't believe me. We'll get it down, just takes more than 3 times at the track. That was a cool little way of sneaking in an accountability issue
There's no reason to make up bullshit numbers, notice how many people are making close to 700whp on gas now? We just started with a bigger than average turbo for a street car, most people are figuring that out now, I'll leave it at that.

First of all the bolt upgrade was always and option and is now standard, second of all we are talking about the rod and not the bolts. if u put those shitty 5/16 from the eagle in a pauter, crower, manley whatever or use an equally shitty bolt on these more expensive rods and over tq them. they will fail. does that mean the rod is weak? the problem that few people had with eagles were due to the poor bolts arp supplied then with. builders tend to over torque bolts the rod itself is very strong and was never a problem. for any street car no other rod has any advantage whatsoever. and I think that 560whp car you are talking about prooved this. how many people have seen an eagle rod fail? the rod itself.. who has pushed so much power that the rod failed while the bolt was intact? please tell me.

ever heard the quote "dont fix it if it aint broke" ? well that is why. think about it man what you are saying is this. "hi my name is such and such and i like to waste money on more expensive parts rather than keep using cheaper parts that i have never seen fail" well from what you just said.... go ahead and keep doing it lol keep wasting money band wagon or not doesnt matter from your statement you just like to waste money.

Okay well that makes sense if you ARE considering the rod and std. bolt (which I was and should have specified) because all of our motors running Eagles do not have the upgrade. You are right in that sense, I've never seen nor heard of anyone breaking an Eagle rod and actually having the rod fail first. The simple thing to do would be the upgrade even though we've never used it... I'm not going to take over this topic anymore arguing. Peace
Is there a quick way to tell which bolt a set of Eagles came with? By taking a measurement or ?
I bought mine a couple months ago, and am about to install them this weekend.. would they have the older style bolt or the upgrade (which is now standard??)? Thanks.
