Default Rod Caps...

Ok I got one of my Eagle rods on the crank cause I was plastigauging. I goto Take the Cap off and I cant get the damn thing to come off. The Caps have little dowels that go into the rod that make it hard? For the next three should I spray wd40 in the whole b4 so its easier to remove?

Unscrew the rod bolts a few turns and gently tap the top of the bolt. The bolt will push the rod away from the cap

Use your muscles, and wiggle the caps back and forth. It'll eventually come apart.
