Trying to pick between Manley or Pauter LS length rods. The price is close so it isn't an issue. We all know both are excellent rods but I have a few quick questions about rod design.
The steel Manley rod weighs 581 grams and balanced to within 1.5 grams
The steel Pauter rod weighs 520 grams and balanced to within 3.0 grams
Which is more important weight or balance?

I believe both are excellent rods capable of handling many hundreds of hp. But Im asking if lesser weight or closer balance is a better quality to have in a rod.
we use pauter and the prefered rod for Norwood autocraft, i think you should check that balance again between both rods the closer balance would be better also is it going to be a street or full out racecar. then i would use pauters.

The 3.0 gram balance I stated for the Pauters I got from Earl. They may be balanced closer than 3.0 grams and Id like to know if they are.
Manley posted their balance tolerances on their website while I could not find that information on Pauter's.
