Default rocket motorsports valvetrain

I bought a head with rocket valvetrain,

ive heard of them before, but a search doesnt come up with anything.

Is this a decent valvetrain?

I plan to run Pro 1's,

any known issues?

any reviews?

ect.

I had the rockets in my turbo car with Pro 1's and the retainer let go at 450 hp and blew my motor, and my turbo it cost me about 3000 to get my motor and every thing else up to snuff

Gen1, Gen2, or SL? I've had no problems from any I've sold or installed. Ti retainers are a wear item, even though the RM retainers are a snap fit with the RM springs, you still need to inspect them regularly.

Worked fine in 700 Herbs and Spices. 700whp, 11k RPM, early 2000's. Google it if you want.

Ask the one other person who replied that has first hand experience what his installed heights were and how often he inspected the retainers, that could give you a clue behind his reasoning.

so your saying the springs are decent, but the retainers are the weak link?

Maybe I can get away with just getting different retainers.

Only if the retainers are worn and need to be replaced. ANY brand of ti retainer will need to be replaced at one point or another, it is inevitable.
