Re: RevHard Turbo kit (Type-X)
the difficulty of install is going to depend on yuour experience. I can easily put a turbo kit on, but if you have trouble changing your oil, then you might have a problem. Its hard to say because I dont know you. if you have a general idea of how an engine works, and how a turbo works, you should be able to do it. I beleive the kit comes with instructions, but I am not sure. It woudl also be hard to say what else you need to get because i dont know your set up now. a little more infor would be nice.

o ok sorry of lack of info. i have a d16y7 all motor, CAI, apexi world sport cat-back exhaust, ractive plug wires. and thats it.. i installed everything myself.. if a turbo kit is bolt on i could do it.. but some turbo kits i see.. r huge with a whiole **** load of stuff... so im not sure if i would be able to... and yes i can change my oil i do it all the time.

Re: RevHard Turbo kit (Type-X)
It's not too hard to install a turbo kit by yourself. Revhard kits do come with an instruction manual. If this is your first time then just take it easy and prepare to have your car down for one weekend. Start it on a Sat and you might finished it on Monday. If you have any problems with the install feel free to post here. Either I or anyone else here in the force induction forum can easily help you out.
Good luck with the install.

not too sure for the stage 3..but whats wroing with the stage 2? probably cheaper anyways..dont think a stage 3 is necessary..is he turbo bigger or what for stage 3 since im not familiar with revhard
i heard good things about that kit anyways..but isnt it HELLA $$$?? plus install is easy..but be prepare to have an extra car or a friend to help out..me and my buddy made NUMBEROUS trips to the shop to buy extra bolts, fittings, etc..and also new tools to reach in the tight spaces on the engine..
most important things u need:
-all the parts from a turbo kit (used kits can be a headache sometimes!)
-extra car for transportation
-ALL THE right tools..dont just have a few socket wrenches and a flathead and think you're cool
-jack..LOTS of them..have your car HIGH off the ground for easier install
-LIGHTING! we did it in his garage and worked well after sunset..with all the light, we didnt even need to open the garage door..
good luck and ask questions here..H-T is VERY helpful..

well the stage 3 is like 580hp i think , with intercooler and crap... and it says drag only. but u know i would like to get that instead of the stage 2c its not as much money but not as much horse either...and extra car i can get. but also what about damage to my engine.. since i only basically have one car i use.. and thats my civic.. would it be ok to daily drive it.. cuz i drive non stop places..

lemme give you a tip
just because they give you a HP number
dosent mean your car is gonna make that.
if you want 500+hp your gonna need ALOT more than just the revhard kit.

Re: RevHard Turbo kit (Type-X)
just got my revhard kit two weeks ago my car has been down since due to lack of funds and parts to finish. Anyways the kit did NOT come with an instruction manual but as long as you have some knowledge about installling a turbo you should be ok. The kitit only took about 2 days to install, im just replacing lots of other stuff such as intake manifold, installing hondata, and fuel setup which is why it is taking so long. HTH

if u dont wanna run the risk of blowing your engine up..make sure u either have a fully built motor or have the person tuning your car tune it for daily driving...
when they tuned my friends gsr with the hondata, he told him it was for daily driving..so he tuned conservatively making 209whp at 6psi wit his drag 3..im sure he couldve squeeze a few extra hp out of it IF he told him it was for track uses only...and on a stock d-series motor, i dont see u going anywhere near 400hp...im sure those 500 hp #'s come on a fully built engine..not a stock d16..

Re: RevHard Turbo kit (Tru Dynamix)
yea i read the fine print last night under the stage 3, and it says that engine managment is needed for it. but hey the kit didnt come with instructions? **** so that means i would have to have somebody install it for me huh? cuz i dunt really know how it would look like to step it up... should i just get the jackson racing supercharger instead? with a aftermarket intake manifold.

Re: RevHard Turbo kit (Type-X)
diitch the JRSC idea..with that on your d16, u would only make MINIMAL gains..NOT WORTH it..for the price of the complete JRSC< u should get a b16a swapped into your car..more power and more potential for power..
just in idea
