Default Revhard Manifold Question

I have the drag manifold right now. I am swithing to the revhard just temporarily until I buy the Full-Race manifold.

Question: Is the revhard manifold A/C compatible? I am assuming it is, but I would have to lose the filter on the turbo since the compressor would be in the way. Other than that, it should work correct? Also the manifold was from a B16A head going onto my B18C1 head...that shoudn't matter correct?

On the drag kit, the hot side is by the compressor.....I've noticed with the revhard the cold side is by the compressor. Could I switch it on the rev hard manifold so that I have the hot side next to the compresor?

I've seen people with revhard manifold run their turbos just like the DRAG kit. With some block notching and the turbo compressor towards the passenger side, and turbine towards the driver side. Now whether the AC will clear or not, I dunno. And yes the exhaust manifold bolt pattern on the B16 and B18C will be the same, it's the intake manifold pattern that is different.

There are 3 styles of RevHard log manifolds. one is the Drag replacement one, in which case it's best to get an additional head flange because a precision or Garrett turbo have a BITCH of a time fitting, even if you shave the webbing. The second is their own design which is great, but the elbow to bend the wastegate is too short. They are both AC compatible.

The 3rd manifold faces the compressor in the opposite direction and does not allow for A/C. Check their site to see which one you have.

And speaking of Revhard manifolds when you get yours check and se how many holes they drilled for the turbo flange. Mine had 8 in the square pattern, and I had the use the inner ones. I found out the hard way that the outer holes go all the way into the exhaust tract. I thought that they only went down a little bit, but I was wrong.

I was getting a bad exhaust leak and it wouldn't build up boost. So I had to get some studs and I screwed them in and I cut off the studs with a die grinder so it was flush with the flange.
