Default revhard kit

i currently own a stock b18c5 motor,

and i'm looking in the department of buying a turbo kit for it.

but i'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to FI.

I was thinking of purchasing a revhard kit, but what else would i need? a turbo timer...

i'm aiming for 8-10 psi of boost.

Help! or better yet, if someone could give me a link to llearn about what i need/etc. that would be best!

TIA

If u want 8-10psi of boost u should lower your compression by either a headgasket or build the motor up with lower compression pistons.

But it all really depends on how much u want to spend.

You will need to purchase:
A clutch
Gauges
An ignition system
an air filter (Revhard doesnt come with one)
turbo timer is a plus but isnt necessary
to run 8-10psi safely on a type-r motor you will need:
310cc injectors + v-afc + 8:1fmu or
idealy a standalone with 440cc+ injectors
and a good boost controller

My buddy has a RevHard stage II powered ITR. The boost levels you have in mind could be achieved on the stock internals, just as long as proper tuning is at hand with good fuel management. Just be cautious of who you have tune your setup, as my friends motor bit the dust 1 night in a race because it was dyno tuned that afternoon and I believe the shop had it leaned out to much.
After that he had the bottom end rebuilt with JE 9:0:1 and Eagle rods and now is running somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 psi. His name on here is Vonte'. It sucks that he is in Korea right now though for a year, on Military assignment.
