Default Replacement for Displacement?

can you replace displacement with a turbo? you can make an engine make the same power, but does it truely act the same? will it be as fast as a motor that is bigger with the same power? is the power going to be delivered the same? i found this thread at clubsi, but im not sure if it helps much either:

No, truefully, there is no replacement for displacement..


Try 6 psi on a 1.8 litr
6 psi on a 2.0 litr
disreguarding all temp variables
2.0 will have more..

oh, i see the quote in your signatures, that guy wasnt serious was he? because thats play looney. gas compresses, and fits into smaller areas.
