Ok, so i want to boost my 91 hatch but i need it to be my DD.I need to build a well tuned kit thats not going to brake the bank or blow up, but need some help.I am going to be using a jdm d15b,obd1 converter,and si cable tranny.I just dont know which way to go as far as turbo,manifold,injectors,but most of all ecu tuning.Im totally lost when it comes to fuel mapping,setting timing and stuff like that.Would i be able to tune it my self?I would like to hit about 200 hp cause from what ive read wouldnt be to hard on stock internals.I just really need to know how you guys would set it up and what to get for a reliable build.

There are a million different turbo setups available (if you build your own, which i recommend). If you're looking for ~200-220whp, you can go rather "cheap" on the build. Here's a good example of what you could do

Spoolin log and 2.5" dp and exhaust
16g, T3 Super 60, T3 .42/.48, 14b, SR20 T25, etc...(many to pick from)
DSM 450cc inj. and resistor box
Crome Chipped P06 ECU
2" IC piping
JRC 6" IC or equivalent
Tial WG (if you dont get an internally gated turbo
DSM bov
Stealthmode Oil line kit
Clutch of your choice...you dont need something crazy

Its pretty easy to conjure up a setup that'll hit your goals and be streetable. If you want more help, feel free to PM me

chipped and properly tuned ecu. You can do it youself, but i would just have it done, unless your going to buy a wideband.

what all would i need to start tuning myself,cause we dont have any tuners around here?Sorry,im just new to the whole thought of tuning for boost.

If you know NOTHING about that process, it would be best to find one SOMEWHERE in CA to be able to tow or drive the car out of positive pressure. If this is your daily commuter, this is NOT the car to learn how to do that with.

Thanks man,i appreciate you searching that out for me,that helps alot.The only thing im wondering is about smog? is it possible to pass a test with boost,or am i going to have to go back to stock to smog every time? Thanks again for all the help on here.
