Reducing underhood temp.
I have my turbo in and tuned but now I am looking for ways to keep my reliablity. My first step is reducing the underhood temp. Other then a heatsheild on the manifold, what are some ways that you guys have lowered your temps? thanks

Well, i'm on expert on this subject but some guys wrap their turbo piping with some sort of material hopefully someone can elaborate on this for me. But a good way is to get a vented hood that actually works. No cheap immitation hoods. Also, get a largre intercooler. You can get an oil cooler, new radiator/fans. There are many ways....just be creative. Thats my moto.

You can wrap your manifold in heat sheilding wrap, if the manifold is tubular... it'll be difficult if it's cast molded.... wrapping your downpipe in this wrapping would also be a good idea. ... they also have ceramic heat sheilding paint you can have sprayed on or powder coated on... you can do this to your manifold, exhaust side of turbo, and downpipe/dumptube. i'm not sure if this is DIY or you may have to send it out... it's not that expensive.
jerry rigg some kind of clever heat sheild...
perhaps you can incorporate all of these methods for best results.

Re: Reducing underhood temp. (Dangger)
Im not big on wrapping anything with thermal wrap seeing as how it destroys manifolds. I'll def. he looking into a koyo radiator and slimline fans.

The new rad wouldn't help the underhood temps.
I would suggest using heat sheilding tape on things that you are worried about melting. I would also look into moving your intake filter as close to outside air as possible.
The biggest thing would be a hole in your hood. I have seen a few "evo" hoods on civics, they seem to help. But that is a little sxtreme.

a rad and slimline fans wont do **** to help keep the underhood temps cool
Will just help water temps.
Hood scoop or spacers ont he back of the hood will help alot. My underhood temps were sickening. They got better with 1/2 inch spacers
