Recommended turbo upgrade...?
It appears that my starter turbo will be a T3/T04B from a DRAG III for a B16A. (Standard turbine in a .63 housing/Super V in a .60 A/R housing...sound right?) Anyway, when I install my built block, it will likely be a sleeved (I need sleeves right) 2.0L LS/VTEC. To reach my goal of @300-350whp (I'll take more, but that should get it done) I estimate I'll need around 18-20psi+/-, so an upgraded turbo will be a must. Would you a) get a whole other turbo, like a T3/t04E? (With what specs?) OR b) change the wheels in my T3/T04B to something like a stage 3 turbine and a larger trim compressor wheel? If 'b', what's a good trim for the compressor (H, 60-1 hi-fi, etc.)? This will car will always be street driven, but some lag can be tollerated for top end.
On a side note, what is the effective difference between super and non-super trims? I know the super trim major diameter is 3" while the non-super is 2.75" (the inducer diameters are identical), but how does this effect power/spool-up.
Thanks guys.

Dude.. you should do more research on your turbo. That T04b/T3 with a Super V trim is actually a pretty big turbo. That particular Super V wheel is BIGGER than the wheel on a T04E 54 trim. Stick with that turbo. Save some money for more serious upgrades like standalone (read: Hondata).

Sorry.. forgot to answer your bottom question. The "Super" part of the wheel changes the major diamter. This allows more flow.. and supposedly doesn't affect lag much.

Re: Recommended turbo upgrade...? (Rob92SC)
Thanks for clearing that up for me So...ok, I just checked Turbonetics site and saw the differing sizes for different trims in E and B housings. From what I've been reading, however, is that the standard turbine will hinder my flow once I really up the boost. Supposing I change the turbine side to a stage 2 or probably a stage 3 (I have to change the wheel and housing, right) and leave the compressor side alone, what kind of flow will it be good for then? What kind of lag (boost onset rpm) should I expect.

You should be able to go Stage 3. Many guys here have it. You will experience a little more lag.. but it will definitely help out top end. Yes, you gotta change wheel and housing.. recommend sending it to http://www.Majesticturbo.com. Speak with Robert there.. he's a cool dude.
