Rebuilt motor - good way to break it in?
My motor should be completely finished by Tuesday. This includes ...
Golden Eagle sleeves
Enydn pistons
Eagle Rods
BRAND NEW Type-R cylinder head
How should I break-in the motor? Baby it 300-500 miles then introduce load to the engine with some redline runs and then decl?
Also, what motor oil should I use? I know non-syn and also no detergent. 5W-30 or 10W-30? It's 100 degress here in Gainesville!

When i broke my motor in, i babied it for 750 miles on regular mobile 1 oil. Yes you are correct, use non-syn/non-det. 10w-30 sounds like a good weight oil to run for this break in period. After you reach your break in period, its time for some redlining fun. thats how i broke mine in though, some other guys may have some other helpful hints to add. good luck

I would keep the revs under 5 grand for 1000 miles. No boost, regular non-synthetic oil. Honda recommends 5W-30, stick with what they recommend.
