So I purchased a Greddy 18g a while back. Just now starting to get this project going.

Not sure of mileage on it. Doesn't seem to be in bad shape at all. There's black residue on the turbo inlet and compressor housing. Little side to side shaft play, blades not hitting either housing. No up and down play.

Is there a way I can inspect this turbo to check for leaks outside of running oil through it? Any signs I should look for? Should I rebuild it and have it rebalanced?
