Default turbo has grease in the compressor housing???

i pulled off my compressor housing and its all black and feels like grease i haven't used the turbo yet. does it have bad seals? does it need a rebuild? or is that normal?

Default Re: turbo has grease in the compressor housing??? (accorracer)

if the previous owner had the crankcase valve re routed into the intake, then thats why. is it an oily residue? thats normal for people tohave oil in the intakes. you'll know if the seals are bad if youre tailpipe is giving out a lot of smoke
