2nd time rebuilding. Only thing is, car idles like **** and wont go past 4k rpm. Engine check blinks occationally and reads misfire in cylinder1,2,3,4, iac valve fault, and engine coolant high input? It drives just the same as when i blew the motor, idle shitty and a lot of pressure in manifold(vafc). To keep it running when engine is cold i need to keep giving it gas.

things i tried:
new iac valve, whole new distributor, gapping plugs, trying new plug wires, and getting new injectors.

Would a car idle shitty if a head gasket was blown or not properly sealed? Thanks

Any suggestions to wut else i should try would be appreciated.

btw..i did a compression test when i had only 10miles on the motor after the build. Came out as followed: cylinder 1-140, 2-150, 3-140, 4-140. I thought they came out shitty because the rings werent seated yet. Are these decent compression numbers with only 10miles on the motor? Thanks.

sounds like you may have some plugs on the harness plugged in wrong. make sure the plug coming out of the iac has a yellow and yellow and black wire. Check your tps sensor voltage also..

Yea i was hoping so bad it was a harness switched. But i went through every harness and they are all on right. I checked the iac one too. Its the right one. I guess the only thing left to do is check the voltage for my tps. Thanks

what kind of fuel management are you using? Try swapping ecus with a friend.

those numbers aren't too good. i've done a motor with about 50 miles on it and the compression was 225 220 220 225. this is on a motor with 9.5-10.0 compression.
