Reading lower boost than spring settings..
I'm running .3 bar spring, tial wastegate.. my gauge reads a little over .2 bar.. depending on how i punch the throttle i can notice it jump to almost .3bar for frame of a second and then stay at .2 bar.. this is consistant once i'm in full boost..
everything seems connected well together.. no strange sounds i could think off..

Re: Reading lower boost than spring settings.. (vtec.dc2)
I have the .45 bar spring in my wastegate, and I wasn't running a filter on my turbo, I was running screens, not allowing the turbo to fully spool so it only made 3psi. So something could be amiss. Good luck

where are you getting your vac/pressure source from? before or after the intercooler? the intercooler has a pressure drop. run vac line from throttle side of ic to you wg. you should see .3 bar now.l

wastegate and boost gauge reads from the top of intake manifold.

that happened to me and i had a leak through one of my vacuum lines. I replaced that then no more boost leaks

Re: Reading lower boost than spring settings.. (vtec.dc2)
home made bike pump leak down test...
I bought some home depot hoses, a couple fittings...
I hooked it up the hoses to a bike pump and the turbo then pumped away..
found the leak by spraying a mist of soap and water and saw bubbles...
also heard a light hissing sound...
really easy to make.. only cost me 5 bucks minus the bike pump i already had hehe
edit: even if the problem isn't a leak.. it will be useful in the future to determine problems.. i was at .2 bars when my spring is rated at .45

the manifold is inline pro.. i hope it woudln't crack on the first days of mild boost.. i've tried the vacuum test, no hoses are leaking.. other than pressure is consistant, i can't think of nothing else..

tried pressure test on vaccum hoses again.. also attached another gauge to the setup.. it read 3psi.. damn..
could it be that i have 3psi spring? this is on tial 35mm wastegate, i dont have the box - but remember it said .3bar - 4.35psi spring. i don't recall them making 3psi springs for 35mm wastegate - can smaller spring be fitted into one by accident?

Re: Reading lower boost than spring settings.. (vtec.dc2)
i'll put it in shorter/simpler question
can .2bar spring from Tial 46mm wastegate fit Tial 35mm wastegate?
and.. can .25bar spring from Tial 38mm or 40mm wastegate fit 35mm?
