re-installing eagle rods on sleeved motor
Im going to be reusing the eagle rods i have in a built turbo b16. Does anyone know what size of ARP bolt the Eagle rods use or if there is a better bolt i could use with these rods? Ive heard the weak point of Eagles are the rod bolts so id like to upgrade if possible, the motor wont see over 350whp and the budget doesnt allow for new rods. I sent an email to a few Eagle dealers with no replies so far.

There are 2 sizes available. I would think you have their standard size which are the "2000" since the optional "Custom Age" ones are like $150 more and you would probably remember paying that extra amount. If you did, then you would be in a closer price range to crowers or the like...and if you went with eagle over any other rod in that price range then i dont know what to say
Only thing is with the Eagle rods is that you need to torque them down to spec. They most often fail when this is not done properly.
I know that the b18 apps need to be torqued to 23 ft/lbs using ARP moly lube. Im not too sure about the b16, but I would think its the same since they use the same rod bolt and the only difference is the actual rod length.
