Default RC Injector WASHERS!

Ok, got a problem. My friend got himself some RC Injectors with the clips, BUT...He does not have the washers. Can he use the old washers? Or can he find them at home depot or something??

Thanks a bunch!

which piece? the "cushions" or the "spacers" or the "o-rings?" the RC injectors don't use the "cushions," (or is it the spacers? the piece on the fuel rail side) but you will need the other two. if you don't have them, you could get them from honda. i bought the whole shebang but then discovered that the injectors come with everything you need, so returned it all.

Dude...buy new ones...If it is the o-rings you are talking about, then get new ones. Two o-rings (#2 & #3) simultaneously broke on my old B16A turbo, and I leaned out the cylinders (and totally gasoline washed my engine bay), when mine broke, burning up my rings, and even chipped two of the cylinders. I wouldn't re-use old ones just because of the horrible experience I had.

Yep, do it right the first time dude. Get new O-rings. I would hate to hear another blown motor story, when it can be prevented.

How many O rings are there? There is one on the top, near the clip, and one on the bottom, correct? And also Another "Spacer" right?

Are there different versions of the RC Injectors? Because the ones on his car (the stock ones), only have one O ring on the top of the injector and the big spacer washer on the fuel line.

its a 97 gsr. And the injectors that he has, there is also an o ring on the top of the injector, but the other end does not have any o ring. But it has this groove, and looks as though its missing an O ring?

on my prelude, the stock injectors and the rc injectors were configured differently. i can't be 100% sure but i think all that was needed was a spacer/washer between the injector and the intake manifold (supplied by rc in a little baggie), a cushion between the other end of the injector and the seat on the fuel rail (this was a green thing with a split down the middle that was already attached to the injector) and one single o-ring, again already attached to the injector.

the stock injectors had two spacer/washers (one red one black) between the injector and the intake manifold, a black rubber split neck cushion between the injector and the fuel rail, and a single o-ring at the same end. you can get all these parts from any honda dealer.

i think because they are a slightly different shape you really want the pieces that came with the RC injectors. the o-ring is probably interchangeable but the spacer (which shouldn't come off anyway) and the washer on the manifold side are different than the stock pieces.
