Hi Guys,

I've search for hours, but can't find a clear cut answer. I'm in the process of installing some RC 440's into my 94 B16A3 (obd1), and I'm not exactly sure what o ring combination I should use. The pic below is of the actual injectors I'm dealing with. Should I just transfer all 3 rings from the oem injector to the RC 440 and not install the oem fuel rail spacer? I'm going to purchase new rings from Honda, but I'm just not sure what I need... Thanks for any help.

Leave the 440s how they are in the picture, all your going to need is the RC bottom ring that they should have supplied. And yes keep the stock fuel rail spacer. The reason you need the RC bottom ring is that the RC's sit on top of them, unline the stockers which fit inside them.

couldnt he use the bottom stock seal from old injectors on his rc ones ?

Both the stock bottom seal, or rc seal will work. I'd use the newest of the two. Just use the top seal that rc provided, and rail spacers.

He can use the stock bottom ring, but might have to bore it out a little for it to slip over the RC injector. If you look at the bottom of the RC injector, it has a small lip where their o ring sits on...meaning theirs ring is not designed to slip onto the injector like the stock setup does because its fatter. If you have the RC bottom ring, just use that.

Thanks for the replies so far... Here's the deal... The RC injectors were used and the RC cushion ring is missing on one injector and cracking on the others... I was thinking of just using the RC o rings, and purchasing new oem cushion and seal rings and using those... Do you guys think that will work?

Just remove the old injectors, use the old bottom seal or buy new ones and the stock spacers. I use the stock bottom and spacers on mine with no problems. Just make sure when you install the injectors in to the rail you put a little bit of oil so you don't rip the o-ring. And when you start to tighten the bolts make sure the injector sit evenly around the bottom seal or you'll have a vac leak.

Thanks wickedEG... I'm going to Honda now to purchase new OEM seal & cushion rings, and I'll use the o-ring that came with the rc injectors... Thanks for the info!

Hi Guys, I purchased new oem injector seals/rings and installed them onto the RC injector. This is what it looks like... Will this be okay? The only thing that concerns me is that the bottom tip of the injector doesn't stick out like the oem did. Will that cause a problem?... Thanks for the help.

That is why the RC bottom rings are made. They fit right there but are thinner. Also you are going to want to use the RC smaller top cushion, so the injector fits better in the fuel rail. If you put the larger stock cushion on top of the RC injector, it is hardly goin to stick into the rail. If you do it any other way, your not going to be able to tighten the fuel rail down snug against the manifold spacer how it was stock.

I have Precision 440cc injectors (practically the same as RC) and all I did was use sandpaper and sand the cushions/orings down to the size of the OEM one's.

After that, they fit nice and snug into the fuel rail and intake mani....just like OEM.

Thanks for the input guys ... I just called RC, and they said that the OEM o-ring and seal ring will work okay, but to get a cushion ring (middle ring) from a 88-95 Toyota celica, or non-turbo Supra. He said that the Toyota cushion ring is the same ring they included when you buy the injector new.

If your going to use the OE bottom ring, make sure you bore it out then, if not it will be to tight and bend when you go to torque down the injectors. Good luck

I did that install last week too. Use the OEM top <o> Ring and you can also use the OEM bottom one but you will just need to bore them a bit, should work perfectly.

so when u install them did everything work fine because im having issue with mine 440 cc rc injector
