Ray-Jay Turbos
Ya... I used a couple of them over the years. VERY strong... but they were not very efficiant. THey were designed to be used in a draw threw carb set up for the most part. at the time Gerret turbos weren't very good for that because of their oil seal would give out with high vaccum.
The best resorce of Ray-Jay stuff is to give the guys over at "Turbo City" a call. (in SoCal) They still have parts.
I have a rayjay sittin' in my garage that has HORIBLE shaft play... enough to have crashed the turbine into the housing... but the oil seal still held pressure, and it stll made boost! It was in one of my duneBuggies that was abused for a bunch of years.
