Random Turbo Questions...
Hey guys my Turbo Type R is alomost done and I have a few questions if anyone can help me out.
1. Tial WG question, at idle should any heat/hot air be coming out of it through the big opening in it?
2. I got a Tial WG and BOV, in the box was a small aluminum ring, I have no idea what it goes to? It's smaller then the flanges on both the WG and BOV.
3. Autometer Air Fuel guage issues, it seems to light up nice and bright initially and "flutter" around for about 10 seconds, then it slowly goes over to the lean side and then goes dim and you can't see it anymore?
4. Is there any physical way to get an alluminum BOV flange onto an Alluminized steel charge pipe?
5. The WG hits the hood just barely, what do you normally do about that? It's hitting the frame/skeleton of the hood so I was thinking maybe just trim a little nothch to make room?
Those are all the questions/issues I'm currently having and appreciate any insight you all may have.
Thanks.
M

that ring needs to be placed between the wastegate and the manifold...
the AF gauge will "flutter" a little bit...thats how the ECU averages it out to be a nice AF ratio.
correct me if im wrong, but no air should be coming out at idle...u need to put the ring in there to fix this.
my wastegate hits the hood too, i hate it.
i dont want to be a dick and point out the obvious, but u need to connect the charge pipes

The air fuel guage is still screwed though, I have had them before and know what they are supposd to do but it literally flutters for a second then goes to full lean and the light goes away and doesn't come back until I turn the car off and back on again, I assume I tapped the wrong wire or something?. I assumed that's where that damn ring went but didn't have time to pull the WG off and check last night.
Thanks.
