Default raising the compression

currently i am runnin 9.2:1 comp in my H22, i want to bring it up to ~9.7-9.8:1 for lag issues, i only plan on running anything over 12-14psi when i run race gas anyways.

anyways, shoudl i jsut use a thinner headgasket to accomplish this?, or should i just break down and buy my 3rd set of forged pistons in a year?

nearly 3 hrs, 12 views and no one knows

i know it can be accomplished by simply using a thinner headgasket, i just wanna know people opinions on this, and what thickness i need to use to gain about .5 in compression

you could do either. what kind of pistons do you have in there right now?
but i would rather do pistons.

have you thought about other methods to decrease lag?
full-race manifold, bigger downpipe/exhaust if you dont have them already.

i highly doubt 1/2 a point of copmression will do anything noticable for lag.

9.2:1 JE 89mm pistons

have considered a Full-Race or LoveFab mani, but i am not currently willing to sacrifice my A/C. i am currently running a *cough*OBX*cough* manifold for now, but i have an SFP on the way as well as a mostly 3" DP, and i have a ful 3" exhuast, once its tuned, i know it well help lag too, but i also want the compresion for added power
