Default Quick turbo question.

what is a V trim turbo? Whats a trim anyways, sorry i'm a noob.

Trim is the difference between the inducer and the exducer of a compressor or turbine wheel. It's usually refering to a compressor wheel. The inducer is the tip of the blades that see the air first, the ones you can see when you look into the turbo. The exducer is the bigger outside diameter of the wheel that's hidden by the housing.

Trim is the difference between the measurement of the larger exducer and the smaller inducer (in the case of a compressor wheel, a turbine wheel has a larger inducer and a smaller exducer because the air is going out of it, not into it). To oversimplify, in the same wheel family bigger trim = more flow. i.e.: A .60 trim T04E flows more then a .50 trim T04E. But a small T04B .60 trim is not even comparable to a T04E .50 or .60 trim. In other words, trim is relative to the family of wheel.

And to answer your question. I have no idea what a V trim is. Certain companies use letters to signify trim size instead of the mathematical definition of trim like Garret does (.50, .57, .60, etc)
