Default Quick question bout turbo setup

Would I need a chipped ecu to run this setup?
These are the vehicle specs:
98 EK, b16a stock, HX,

They claimed it wouldn't throw a CEL

It is highly recommended that you run a tunable ecu and bigger injectors, tho with that kit you do not "have to." The boost dependant regulators put alot of strain on your fuel pump and are not easy to tune. You can get by with it for low boost but it is by far not the best option.

You would be way better off with this kit:

and get a tunable ecm and some injectors. Probably come out to about the same price.

I'm not saying that, just wanted to know how truthful this kit was cause it was crazy to me

I'm just trying to find a way to run a b16 without throwing a CEL code

Your concern should not be with the cel. Either setup shouldn't throw a light if done properly.

But you should be worried about the longevity and safety of your engine. Which is why we are telling you to use a better fuel management.
