Default quick question about missing links

i just recently put a y7 in my 89 hatchback and a t25 hmt setup. i have 390cc injectors i have walbro 255hp fuel pump i have my pm6 chipped with turbo edit with a nice starter basemap, im boosting about 8psi-10psi. i had a 12:1 vortech fmu at one point bc i was ruing way to lean and my plug tips were white, i put a new basemap chip in my ecu callin for more air fuel and now i took the fmu out bc im ruining alot richer now. my question is do i need a missing link? and what does it exactly do. i have an idea but i hear soo much diffrent stuff about them.. or do you think i just dont need one and get the motor ready to get tuned for the street? also if thier is anymore info anyone can give me to help me out i would appreciate it.. thanks in advacned.

I would run a 2.5 or 3 bar map sensor...when running and ems prog like that, you usally dont need it...it just tricks the map sensor into reading boost without throwing codes...stock map sensors can read up to 11 psi i beleive...with out using the missing link...

you will be fine with out the missing link...Be sure ur using a wideband when adjusting ur talbes...and keep ur ignitioin timing conservative until u can hit the dyno...
