Default Quick question about LS block

I have the chance to get a good deal on a LS motor.

I was just wondering what kind of boost can be ran safely on the stock block?

I searched, but all I found was turbo kits

i might be wrong but your stock MAP sensor shouldnt allow you to run more than 11, but if you get a 3-bar you can run alot more, motor wise i dont know, because i dont know anything about LS motors.

Yes,using a 3 bar map sensor will open the door to more boost. I would say on a stock ls that has good compression you can get 300 whp with about 14-16lbs. But I would not drive with that boost up there everyday on a stock motor.

Ls motors do good with boost and make good tourqe as well and im sure others will post up and say "its all in the tune" Because it is ...you have to have a tuner you trust to make good conservative power there is a LS-T thread you should check out ...there is more that 300 pages of good info on there

check it out do some reading and searching and im sure you can find out what you would like do Good Luck
