Default boost on ls

just curious to see if i turbo my ls with stock internals how much boost would be safe to run...

technically 8-10lbs is safe on an LS engine... i would suggest you still reinforce your block and lower your compression, have it tuned properly (AEM EMS, Crome Pro, Uberdata, etc) and make sure your tuner knows what he's doing.....

also... search... check the F - I forum...i know this has been beat to death

well the amount of boost you run also depends on the size of the turbo...8-10 lbs boost is different between turbos..but 8-10 is usually the # that gets thrown around...

I have seen ALOT of guys with stock LS bottom ends pushing the 350whp mark. LS= good for boost

as stated above its not really how many pounds of boost its how much hp . 350 hp is pushing it on stock ls , but with a healthy motor and good tune 300 or less safely

informed builder ...i thought almost everyone in this forum was on the lower level thinking of psi is universal

Yeah an LS can take a fair amount of boost but it also depends how long you want the engine to last too....
