Default Quick Profec-B questions

firstly, what's the lowest boost relative to the wg that the hi boost setting can hold? my lo boost works fine and i checked all connections and hookups like 5 times and everything looks good. on hi boost it just rises infinitely as if the vacuum line to the wg was pinched or not even hooked up. even with the hi boost **** on min it rises continously. and yes i have the dip switches set right, tho i may try the overboost setting tomorrow (even tho this seems more than just overboost)

secondly, i see in the instructions the little filter between the vac source and controller unit. is everyone using this and for those not, are there any problems noticed? thanks alot

You know what dude, mine does the same ******* thing! This is how i solved it, i tried every different dip switches combination possible and the best one that worked normal was when i set it for Actuator type (when overboost occurs), which is 4. UP 3. DOWN 2. DOWN 1. UP Try that set up and see if it works. I think its a Greddy system **** up, i've know a few Profec B's thats acting up like that. let me know if u fix it cause im interested. well good luck, peace

i tried ur settings and got a lil confused cuz it didnt make a big difference. i'm assuming ur referring to up and down when the box is held right side up. well for kits i flipped urs so that they look the same but reversed, with one and four in the "on" or down position and three and two in the off or up position. when i checked the manual this actually ended up to be the actuator type setting for overboost (i'm internal wg if i forgot to mention) and everything seems to work fine. i have low set on like 7 and high on almost 9. which i guess is expected cuz i read somewhere that the lowest high setting will usually be a few psi higher. would be nice if i could run the high setting a lil lower cuz im not running that much boost right now but i guess i'll have to settle for what i have. thanks for the help and suggestions

everything seems to work now with the jumper switches set for internal wg overboost mode. before i had it on internal wg but not for overboost and it would just boost infinitely in hi boost mode but work in lo boost.

now i have lo set on 7, high set 10, and off goes to the wg's 5. all settings hold boost rock solid with the balance **** at 12 o clock. now i'm thinking if i should mess around with the balance in an attempt to increase spool up time a lil. i'll prob leave it tho cuz it works now and i'm too lazy to set everything again. thanks for the help
