Quick easy question that i dont know, HOW to adjust timing
Going to go to a neighbors house to borrow a timing gun, he doens't have much time to help, but said he would for the time he has. Neither of us have adjusted the timing on a honda before.
What do I do? Loosen 3 bolts on the distributer and twist it, i got that much. I need to pull like 2-3 degrees. Any and all help appreciated, sorry to ask such a simpleton question some of us are simple people

you need to jump your service connector so your car idles at the appropriate idle, then you connect your timing gun to the number one cylinder, loosen the bolts on the dizzy, shoot the gun on the crank pully and adjust to what you need

I am a noobzor. I fixed the timing and found out what cel i was throwing. My cel would come on every time it got cold, or if the motor idled for awhile and got hot. I thought it was my o2.
