i just put a drag gen three turbo kit on my 94 GSR and when I hit the gas to the floor it falls on it's face, so to speak and it also backfires when I shift at redline, I have 310cc injectors and my electronics are stock, I called speedquest and they told me that I need an Apexi VTEC controller, im not getting the performace I should be any help would be great !

yea it just has the stock ECU and I havent had the turbo tuned.

at half throttle it acclerates decently but at WOT it doesnt go anywhere it's like the car gets too much gas. 255LPH pump and 310cc injectors cause this.

 

what kinda engine management are you running then if you have a stock ecu. does the drag kit come with a fmu or a piggy back system.

a fuel pump and injecters is for sure not safe with no other engine management.

what would you need a vtec controller for. did they recommend you run the afc hack or something. a vtec controller will not help you out at all.

it sounds like you need some engine mangement and a tune. i would not drive you car like this untill you figure out what is going on. it's super easy to pop your motor with a turbo if you dont have your sh*t setup right.

You need a FMU until you get a EMS...

 

tune that **** quickly.

 

yes the kit came with a FMU.
