Default Questions on timing / compression / etc.

JDM B18C ITR block (stock)
B16A3 head with 1mm OS Valves
Both the block and the head were resurfaced. (Not sure how much but know it was just for surfacing and not to squeeze compression)

Just to figure out compression I put in a total of .020 taken off. With that and a stock head gasket it makes the compression almost 12:1. Now that will obviously depend on exactly how much was milled/decked. And can be as low as 11.7.

Now I just wanna boost the motor for this upcoming year on low boost. So my plan was to just use a thicker headgasekt to bring the compression down until i can build the block. Was gonna use a .089" custom gasket from cometic which would bring it down to roughly 10.1:1 c/r which would be fine for 8-10psi. My questions are how much would this gasket affect my timing, timing belt length, and dowel pins?

What are your thoughts on all this?

Stock headgasket is 0.026". You milled 0.020". Add a 0.089" gasket and your head will be 0.043" higher than stock. 0.043" is only 1mm.... you are fine, but if I was you, I would do pistons / rods.
