Questions about turbos
Ok i have a few questions about turbos and tuning.
1. What does the a/f ratio and trim size on the turbo and compressor mean?
2. How important is it to tune it on a dyno? And is it as nesccesary to tune if you're using an FMU??
3. What would i need to do to run 7-9 psi or 10-12 psi on a d16z6??

a/f stands for air/fuel ratio. it has nothing to do with a turbo itself. if you mean a/r, that is area/radius. To keep it simple, the smaller you go, the faster it will spool, but the sooner it will top out and low total power gain. larger a/r will have some lag, but the top end will be real fast.
100%. dyno tuning is the only way to go. its the best 200 bucks you can possibly spend on your car. That said, I would highly suggest NOT running an FMU. The vafc hack is a much better option.
a car with a turbo. you can run anything on it, but tuning it is what makes it reliable. you can't hit 12 psi without running some kinf od standalone and a 3-bar map sensor, due to the factor honda map sensor's limitations.
